Flatulence also known as gas can be very embarrassing and un comfortable. Some people suffer from chronic bouts of flatulence sometimes without the ability to always control it. It is normal to have some gas now and then however there are natural home remedies which can help to reduce the onset of gas pains and chronic bouts of flatulence.

Avoid foods which can produce more gas in the body. Foods such as beans, cabbage, prunes, bananas, onions and dark beer. Try to only eat minimal amounts of these foods if your trying to avoid getting gas. Eat your food slowly and chew your food well before swallowing. When a person eats fast they are more likely to swallow air which results in increased gas in the body. Eat a low fat diet with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Also be sure to drink 8 to 10 glasses of pure water each day.

If you have persistent gas you may be allergic to certain foods. Get tested for food allergies and eliminate the offending foods. People who are lactose intolerant tend to have more gas and gas related pains.

Walking helps keep the intestinal muscles in shape and can help expel trapped gas resulting in less pain later on.

Mix a warm glass of water in with a teaspoon of dry ginger powder, a pinch of asafetida and a pinch of rock salt. Drink this first thing in the morning.

Before or right after a meal add a drop of dill oil to a teaspoon of honey to help in the treatment of flatulence.

This is a very interesting remedy, and its reported to be quite effective. Take 1 teaspoon of baking soda and drink a small amount of coke. This home remedy will release all the gas you have trapped inside so no more can escape.

Take 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar before going to bed. It also helps to detoxify your body from the inside out.
