It is important to find a good lotion as having dry skin can just make the condition worse. Also stick with mild soaps and detergents for your clothes. Cortisone creams can be helpful at relieving the itch.

Certain foods are known to irritate the condition as well and this is especially true for young children and infants. This also requires some experimentation. Foods that have been seen to trigger eczema in some people are eggs, nuts, and milk products.

Detoxify your body from the inside out by drinking plenty of pure water each day. Most people need 8 to 10 glasses of purified water each day. Focus on a diet high in fruits and vegetables and low in processed foods and refined carbs. Take 1000 mg of Vitamin C daily. This vitamin is know to help keep the skin healthy.
