The symptoms of a hangover can be quite difficult. One of the main things which bring on these symptoms is severe dehydration. The over consumption of alcohol can have a dramatic effect on the body and effects can get worse over time. If you’re going to drink alcohol be sure that you also drink plenty of water that night also to make a hangover less severe or less likely to happen.
Home Remedies for a Hangover
Drink green tea first thing in the morning.
Drink 8 to 10 glasses of pure water and place vitamin C powder in the water. The Vitamin C in the water works on the chemical which is present in alcohol called acetaldehyde.
Drink ginger tea- Ginger is a wonderful remedy for a hangover and the tea can be very potent. You can also buy fresh ginger and juice it in a juicer adding it to a full glass of orange juice.
Mix honey, lemon and hot water together. The fructose in the honey is known to help complete the metabolism of alcohol. Regular sugar will not do the trick because it contains sucrose which will be absorbed too quickly by the body.
Sports drinks such as Gatorade are wonderful to help replenish fluids as well as electrolytes.
Place on an ice compress on your head and just relax. Wrap a dry towel around the areas where you hurt. You can also rinse a wash cloth and apply it directly to your forehead.
