Take a whole food multivitamin and mineral supplement with extra Vitamin C. Be sure to also take 1 tablespoon of flax seed or fish oil each morning. The omega 3 fatty acids found in fish and flax oils can help keep headaches under control and improve your heart and brain health.
Headaches can also be brought on by too much of something in the diet such as coffee, alchohol, and oily foods. If you’re going to wean yourself off of coffee be sure to taper it off slowly as quitting cold turkey can actually cause withdrawal headaches. The same can also be true with alcohol.

This is also especially helpful for people with high blood pressure.
Drink grape juice first thing in the morning. The grapes have special antioxidants which help to prevent headaches.
Morpheme Brhmi is a wonderful tonic which can be used to help calm the brain down and it also helps enhance memory and concentration.
Anything you can do to relieve stress can help to prevent the onset of a headache. Just reading a good book in a quiet corner or taking a hot bath with basil leaves can really help to calm your body down. Exercise can also help to relieve stress and have the same effect.
Dab a small amount of peppermint oil on the temples and rub in gently. If you have sensitive skin this remedy should be avoided.
