Home Remedies For Nausea

Nausea is the sensation of having a sometimes overwhelming urge to vomit. It tends to happen more often when smelling strange smells, during pregnancy or during sickness. There are many home remedies which can be used to help reduce and eliminate nausea. Extreme nausea can indicate a medical problem like gallstones, or another underlying medical condition.

Home Remedies for Nausea

Soda crackers help to control the nausea especially during pregnancy. The backing soda in the crackers helps to neutralize stomach acid

Drink Basil, catnip, ginger alfalfa tea. Straight Ginger tea can also do the drink, but for a more immediate result mix all the herbs together into a tea.

Drink straight peppermint tea or chew on mint leaves.

Drinking sprite can also help to soothe the stomach and control nausea.

Some people experience nausea due to a lack of B-vitamins in their diet. It can be helpful to take a whole food multi vitamin and mineral supplement with extra B-vitamins. This is especially true during pregnancy.

Sucking on fresh garlic has been known to help some people. Although the taste may not be pleasant unless you like garlic.

Some peppermint gum can also help to relieve nausea.

Sit down and relax or take a hot bath to help calm your nerves and soothe nausea. Put 2 cups of Epsom salts in the tub and soak. The salts work as a natural sedative for the nervous system.
